Cavernous DataPack for 1.20.5 will have a huge update that will be ancient secrets expansion unveils a plethora of new elements focused on the intriguing Undergrowth biome and its enigmatic history. Immerse yourself and delve into the narrative. This DataPack have been developed by the Thxlotl.
Cavernous is a datapack reminiscent of vanilla Minecraft, introduces 15 fresh cave biomes, along with new structures, features, advancements, and much more. Whether it’s variations of the familiar caves or entirely unique biomes, there’s a wealth of underground wonders to explore in Cavernous.
Cavernous DataPack Logs:
- Addressed the absence of certain ore placements in deep dark, lush, and dripstone caves.
- Resolved an issue where health was not properly drained when using ancient armor.
- Rectified the problem with the achievement for “The Priest” hint not being attainable.
- Ancient Secrets Tale: Embark on a narrative journey unraveling the long-forgotten enigma of “The Veil,” a mysterious cult that seemingly vanished into thin air. Venturing through the Undergrowth, you will gradually unveil the history behind this biome.
- Introducing The Undergrowth: A foreboding new biome rarely discovered underground, characterized by colossal “Dreadroot” growths extending from floor to ceiling, adorned with blood-red leaves. Ruins are scattered throughout this eerie landscape.
- Structures:
- The Citadel: An ancient structure nestled in the undergrowth, once the abode of The Veil.
- The Monolith: Another structure that sheds light on the true backstory of the undergrowth.
- Mobs: Glob is a mobile mass of some meaty substance that spawns in the Undergrowth. It detonates when in proximity to the player, causing knockback and the nausea effect. Upon defeat, it yields rotten flesh and bones – a rather unpleasant encounter.

- Finding DataPack list: /datapack list
Installing this DataPack in Minecraft:
- Step 1: Acquire the DataPack by downloading it.
- Step 2: Initiate the creation of a new Minecraft World.
- Step 3: Save your newly created Minecraft world.
- Navigate to single-player mode and choose the saved world.
- Access the saved world and open the worlds folder.
- Inside the worlds folder, locate the Data Packs folder.
- Transfer the downloaded file into the Data Packs folder.
- Reopen the saved world.
- Execute the /reload command.
- The Data Pack will be working perfectly.
